It's not unusual for a client to view a control system, such as Control4, Crestron, or Savant, as a complicated addition to their home technologies. It's the exact opposite. A control system is specifically designed to simplify technology. When properly implemented, a control system accomplishes multiple tasks with one button press that would otherwise require many steps. It does this on the same app that controls the other electronic systems in the house. 
Unfortunately, some people have experienced control system technology that delivered a less enjoyable experience.
